Enosis (meaning ‘Union’, 30% abv) is the superfine and authentic mastiha liqueur of the Chios Mastiha Growers’ Association. The liqueur is made using the natural and aromatic resin (‘mastiha’) of the mastiha tree, a remarkably rare evergreen tree that is only able to grow in the southern part of the Greek island of Chios. Using an ancient and world-renowned tradition, Enosis is crafted on the island by the expert Growers of the Association (or ‘Union’), using only the finest quality and locally sourced natural ingredients and the essential extract of the resin droplets, or mastiha “tears”. The liqueur is crystal clear, and is loved for its unique and complex flavour that contains a range of herbal and woody flavours. It is traditionally enjoyed chilled and neat, and is also an exceptionally versatile cocktail ingredient. The taste reminds of pistachio, pine, celery, cucumber, lettuce or even honey. Moreish and full-bodied with floral and woody notes.
