Wales has a long tradition of brewing Welsh beers that dates back to the 18th century. The oldest brewery is Bains that was established in 1713 and is still going strong today.
Bains brewery also owns Buckley’s, a name that was established in the 18th century.
Many new Welsh breweries have sprung up in the last few years producing ales and ciders. Many of these local breweries use ingredients and flavours that are locally sourced.
A newcomer on the brewing scene is Tiny Rebel. Based in Newport, South Wales, they also have a bar in Cardiff.
